Meet Sir Isaac(s). Designed “for runners by runners,” they are specially made for mid-sole strikers, which I can confidently call myself now. I tried on the new Brooks Dyad 6s, the Asics shoes for fat feet, and these bad Isaacs. The Dyads, though they have treated me SO VERY WELL over the past few years, just kinda felt like a pair of bricks on my feet. The Asics gave it a good, healthy run for the money… they were SUPER comfy, but felt a little strange and like I was Kevin from the office when they throw his shoes out at Jim and Pam’s wedding (he was wearing tissue boxes), but these, though they are a bit narrow, felt like my legs had been injected with a boost of energy. And when it came down to it, they just felt right. Need to eat some lunch (as you can probably tell, I have showered and dressed myself), but hopefully over the next 48 hours I’ll get out and give these guys a shot. Pretty. Excited. Also, how can I go wrong with the guy who basically invented science on my feets? Thanks again to Marathon Sports, you were super helpful, and thanks to whoever gave me this awesome “Star Wars and other songs about space from movies you’ve seen” cd. This video would not have been possible without that.
